According to Wurzbach born in Amsterdam 1626 - died there in 1694.
According to Waller he was burried in Amsterdam on 21 octo. 1726.
According to Hollstein son of silversmith Leendert. Gerritsz.
He worked between 1672-1675 in London.

Gerard Valck married in 1729 the sister of A. Blooteling (Maria). He was the brother-in-law of P. SCHENK.
In 1680 Valck and Pieter Schenck became partners and republished some maps of JANSSONIUS ‑ WAESBERGH.
Addresses were: 'Kalverstraat Westzijde, het 9de huis van den Dam' (1687-1689) (See Clement de JONGE)
"Op den Dam, in de Wakkeren Hond" (1707-1726). (See HONDIUS and SWEERTS).

VALCK, Leonardus, or VALK, Leendert: Son and partner of Gerrit. Born in London in 1675. Worked in Amsterdam between 1707-1730. He married in 1710 Maria Schenk, daughter of P. SCHENK I and sister of P. Schenk II. "op den Dam inde Wakkere Hond" (1728-1729); (See HONDIUS) "vooraan op de Rosse-graft Z.Z.op de hoek van het Vosse-Hofje".

VELDE, Jacob v.d.: Amsterdam 1683-1709. "In Aeschylus"; "Oudezyds Achterburgwal op de hoek van de korte Niesel" (1683-1688); "op de Zeedijk by de Nieuwe Markt" (1693-1699); "op de Groene Burgwal aen d'oostzijde" (1706-1709).

VELDE, Jan van der II: Delft 1593 - Enkhuizen 1641. Pupil of Jacob MATHAM in Haarlem where he became member of the St. Luke Guild in 1614. From 1636 in Enkhuizen. Son of J. v.d. Velde, calligrapher. Cousin (or nephew) of Esaias van de Velde. Father of Jan ver Velde III the still-life painter. Etchings with only his name allmost first states. On second states often the address of C.J.Visscher. (only his vignet).

VELDE, Rombout van de: Antwerp. In 1645 member of the Guild St. Luke.

VELTHUYSEN, Barent: Amsterdam about 1700. "op de Zeedijk by de Storm-steeg".

VENNE, Adriaen van der: Born in Delft 1589, worked at Middelburg about 1620-1625. Moved to The Hague, where he became a member of the guild of St. Luke in 1625. Dean of the guild in 1631-1632 and 1640. In 1656 founder-member of the academy Pictura at The Hague. He died in 1662.

VENNE, Jan Pietersz. van der: Brother of Adriaen v.d. Venne. Middelburg about 1619-1625. "Letter- ende constdrucker op de houck van de Nieuwe Burse inde schilderijwinckel". His widow continued the firm until 1626.

VERBEEK, Johannes and Hermanus: Leyden 1723-1768.

VERBIEST, Peter II: Cartographer, engraver, etcher and publisher Born in Amsterdam 1605. Died 1693 in Antwerp. Son of Pieter Verbiest I, brother of Isack Verbiest. In 1609 in Antwerp. Was member of the guild of St. Luke 1642-1643. Address: "op de Lombaerde Vest inde nieu Werrelt" or "op de Lombaerde Vest in America".

VERBRUGGEN, Suzanna: Engraver and publisher. Active in Antwerp second half 17th century.

VERDUSSEN, Ieronymus: Antwerp, first half of 16e cent. Bookpublisher.

VERHOEVEN, Abraham: Etcher and publisher of illustrtated broadsheets and newspapers. Born in Antwerp 1575, died there in 1652. Was member of the Guild of St. Luke in 1604. His address was: "te Antwerpen by Abraham Verhoevens op de Lombaerde veste in de gulden Hand". But there are also newspapers with "op de Lombaerde Vest inde Gulde Sonne". His son, also called Abraham, born in 1605, was active as printer in 1652 in Harlingen.

VERMANDEL, W. and J.W. SMIT: Amsterdam about 1790.
Waller mentioned Willem Vermandel in Amsterdam 1774-1794 "Gasthuismoolensteeg". His son, also Willem, from 1795-1804 on the same address.

VERMEULEN, Cornelis: Engraver and etcher. Antwerp about 1644, died there about 1708. Wotked after 1669 often in Paris, where he published his own work in several states. His address there was: "Rue des Noyers vis a vis St. Yves". He had also many publishers in Paris. (Pr.)

VERSTRAELEN, Hendrick Jansz.: Utrecht 1598-1622. Geometer, cartographer, engraver, bookseller and publisher. (father of engraver Jan Hendricksz. Verstraelen).

VESELAER, Joris: Amsterdam 1618-1624. "aende Zuyder-Kerck in de Hope". His widow had the firm until 1628 on the same address.

VILLETTE, J.: Paris about 1695.

VILTRAY, Antonio: Paris about 1627.

VINCENT, Anna: Widow of Bernard PICART. Born Angouline (France) in 1684, died in Amsterdam 1736. "Chez la veuve de Bernard Picart sur le Cingel a l'Etoile" (1733-1736).

VINCK, Andries: Amsterdam about 1684.

VINCK, Paulus: Gorinchem 1656-1683.

VINGBOONS, or VINCKBOONS David: (the younger) Amsterdam 1622-1679. Draughtsman, engraver and publisher. Son of David Vinckboons the Elder. Associated as publisher with his brother JUSTUS (1620-1698) "op de St. Antonis Breestraet op de Hoeck vande Salmander Steeg".

VINGBOOMS, Jan: Amsterdam 1616-1670. Son of Davind Vickboons the Elder, brother of David Vinckboons the younger. His address on his own work was: J.Vingbooms or Jv. Boons. Jan had the same address as his brother David.

VINKEL, Jakob:

VINKELES, Abraham: Etcher, lithographer and publisher. Born after 1780 in Amsterdam, died there in 1841. Worked in Amsterdam, Weesp, Rotterdam and Brussels. Pupil and assistant of his father Reinier, who was not a publisher. "Beyer en Vinkeles, Amsterdam" (1816-1817); "A. Vinkeles & Co." (1817); "A. Vinkeles Rz. Rotterdam" (1825); "Vinkeles & Bemme" (1825).

VINNE, Izaak van der: Etcher, woodcutter, printer and publisher. Haarlem 1665-1740. "inde Warmoesstraat inde Hooywagen" (1707-1708). Son of Vincent Laurentsz. v.d. Vinne.

VINNE, Jacob van der: Etcher and publisher. Haarlem 1688-1737. All the other Van der Vinne's were no publisher, but etchers and draughtsmen. Son of Jan, brother of Izaak v.d. Vinne.

VINNE, Laurens van der: Haarlem 1658-1729. also active in Amsterdam and according to Holl./Izaak v.d. Vinne page 144 no.428 also in Leyden. Brother of Izaak and Jan v.d. Vinne.

VISHOUCK, JOHANNIS: Tot Rotterdam Boeckverkooper by de Roobrugh Anno 1656.

VISSCHER, Claes Janszoon: also FISCHER, PISCATOR, DE VISSCHER. Amsterdam 1587-1652. Worked in Amsterdam between 1606-1662. Address was: CJ Viischer; J.C. Visscher; CIV; (vignet)isscher or only vignet. Son of Jan Claeszoon Visscher, goldsmith.
1608: "Molenstraat".
1610: "Inde Visscher op de nieuwe zyds colck".
1611-1652: "In de Kalverstraat inde Visscher (5de huis van de Dam, 3de van de Papenbroeckstreeg".
Broer JANSZ. gives in an advertisement in a newspaper on March 1, 1621 information on the cooperation between Broer Jansz. and Claes Jansz. Visscher in this year, mentioning Visscher specifically as the engraver.
Visscher acquired many plates of Boetius A. BOLSWERT after Bolswert's death in 1634.

VISSCHER, Hendrick Jansz.: Amsterdam 1646-1653. "Op de Keysers-graft by de Prince-straet". (no relation with C.J.Visscher.

VISSCHER, Nicolaes I or Claes de Jonge: Amsterdam 1618-1679. Son of Claes Jansz. "in  de Kalverstraat in de Visscher" (1683-1702). His daughter  married in 1706 Johannes HONDIUS.

VISSCHER, Nicolaes II or Claes Claes: Son of Nicolaes I. Died in Amsterdam 1726. "op den Dam in de Visscher" (1702-1721). The widow of Nicolaus had the firm on the same address until 1726. Thereafter Andries de LETH took over the firm until 1731.

VISSER, Pieter: Amsterdam 1705-1737. "op de Lelie-gragt".

VIVARES, F.: Engraver at the Golden head in Porter Street Leicester fields, London.
