Wilh. de BROEN. His widow had the firm until 1696. Than she married Jaques de
la FEUILLE and for one year was the address: "I. de la feille a Amsterdam
sur le Dam" (1697).

Franciscus van: Lannoy 1539-1597.
Son-in-law of Christoffel Plantin. He married in 1565 Margaretha Plantin. Since
1585 owner of the "Officina Plantiniana" in Leyden. Addresses:
"Huis Assendelft in de Breestraat, hoek Vrouwensteeg" "Drie
Coningen in de Maarsmansteeg", "Rapenburg 56" and
"Kloksteeg 4". In 1587 he sold the house Kloksteeg 4 for /600,= and in 1591 Rapenburg 56 for /1350,= to bookseller and publisher Thomas BASSON.
Van Raphelingen was more scolar than printer, so after 1589 he left the
business to his two sons. After his death in 1597 they continued the firm until
1619. Than it turned into liquidation. Jacques de Gheyn III (who's sister was
married with the son of Basson) engraved for Franciscus van Raphelingen. (See
