Cologne 1594-1610 and Utrecht 1612-'37. His address also on work of Hans Bol.

1659 he was six month in Holland. He married in 1654 Catharina Buseliers and
had 1 son, Jan Frans, and 3 daughters. After his death was the address:

PLANTIN,
Christophel: St. Avertin
1514-1589. Came in 1582 to Leyden. He bought the houses "Assendelft"
in the "Breestraat, hoek Vrouwensteeg" and the "Drie
Coningen" in the "Maarsmansteeg".
When Plantin sold a great number of books to Loys
Elsevier for /1270,= Loys
could not pay. So he gave his houses Rapenburg 56 and Kloksteeg 4 as security
to Plantin. Since Elsevier never payed off, Plantin was owner of both houses.
In 1585 Plantin returned to Antwerp and his son-in-law, Franciscus Raphelingius
(van RAPHELINGENn) who was not catholic, but Calvinist, took over the firm.
After Plantin's death he inherited the whole firm and all the houses. (See
