and 2 daughters. He died in Vienna 1600. His son Jacob, who was born at Antwerp
1575 and who worked in Holland about 1630, published some prints from his
fathers' stock.

father was Willem Hondius and had nothing to do with the publishingfirm. He
propable made the Latin verses under the painters portraits of Wiericx.
Henricus worked in Mechelen, Antwerp, Brussels, Cologne, Paris, London. Between
1604 and 1606 also in Leyden. In 1597 he married Sara Jansdr. and in 1620
Goedela van Heemskerck. In 1597 he was in the Guild of The Hague. His daughter
Anna married Jan van Waesberg de Jonge, bookseller in Rotterdam (1588-1646).
The adresses of Henricus I were: "In de St. Pieter alias Gortstraat"
(1602-612). "Buitenhof. By de ghevangenpoort" (1629-1640). His
initials: Hh.

In my opinion there is no relation between the
